Performance Of The Blog Using Google Analytics

Google Analytics tool has been used to track visitors, bounce rate, page views, and overall qualitative and quantitative activity of this blog. As technology has added different ways users interact with the internet, Google has added better features and methods to understand consumers better (Cutroni 2010, p.13). 

Google Analytics collects data, processes them and creates reports based on the performance of the given site. Below is the analytic report on this blog account: 

Audience:
The audience section helps gain insights into the characteristics of users who visited the blog posts. Figure 1 shows overall users who visited the website, how long they stayed,  the location of users, and which technology users used to interact with the website.

ACQUISITION:
The acquisition report can help identify and understand devices and channels used to enter the website. The below figure demonstrates that most of the users access the website directly and 29.1% of them came in via social media channels.

BEHAVIOUR:

Behaviour helps quantify the gravitational pull of the site, and also what made new users return (Google, no date). The report can help measure views per page and the average time spent on a page. The analysis below illustrates that the highest number of people visited the site around 18 - 19 February and it further shows that all posts performed more or less the same.

Finally, the image below (fig. 4) breakdowns the users based on location and devices. 

The top device used to access the site was desktop at 62.7% as compared to mobile users. 
As per the location, the maximum number of visitors was from Ireland.

For a successful campaign, tracking tools are imperative to measure ROI or conversions (Bootsuite, no date) and Google Analytics is a great tool to provide insights into any business and help calculate performance to improve marketing campaigns.
